Gnome keeps getting dumber and dumber all the time. First the "Open in Terminal" right click option was gone, now the address bar.
Before at least you had a crayon button to toggle it. Now you need to type / and start typing or Ctrl-L to show it. Makes it a bit harder to copy/paste stuff to it.
Here's how you fix it:
gconftool-2 --type=Boolean --set /apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_location_entry true

or you can tick the respective box in graphical mode after running gconf-editor PS i have to admit Gnome is getting worse by the day, but i'm not too crazy about KDE4 either... :) KDE 3 was great in my opinion... the last version was stabile, fast (especially when running slack :D) and full of neat/useful options and features; now it's all glossy and what not, yet less functional PPS how you've been man B-) long time no hear
